We built these halogen quartz lamps for one reason: to give you steady, reliable UV energy for industrial heating. The heart of it all is something we call UV output maintenance. It’s really just a way of tracking how well the lamp keeps its original punch over time. And that matters because it keeps your process from drifting. Think of it like this: if a lamp still hits 90% of its original power after 2,000 hours, you can keep running without stopping to recalibrate.
A quick look under the hood
Our standard lamp runs on 400V and delivers 2,500W across a 300mm active arc. That combo was chosen on purpose to give you serious power in a small footprint. The 300mm length slips right into standard machine slots, so swapping one in is a straight drop-in job. And that higher voltage lets us use a shorter, stiffer quartz envelope, which fights sagging and handles shop-floor vibration without flinching.
What makes it tough and reliable
We fill the quartz envelope with halogen, and that does two big things: it stabilizes the filament and keeps the tube from blackening. That’s the secret to stopping the early UV drop-off that messes with standard infrared tubes. The R7s connector is built for high current, so you don’t get hot spots. It also locks in fast and secure, and it keeps doing its job through repeated heating and cooling. Inside, a special coating reflects UV back toward the target, so you get more intensity right where you need it.
Real-world use—and the trade-off you should know
On PET blowing and curing lines, this setup gives you heat that penetrates evenly and cycle times you can count on. But here’s the trade-off: a 2,500W, 400V lamp runs hot. That means your machine’s cooling and airflow need to be up to the task. If the system is undersized, the lamp will still work, but the parts around it will run hotter—and that shortens service life. So plan your thermal budget from the start. Get it right, and you’ll have a setup that just keeps doing its job, quietly and consistently.
