Power and Fit: What It Needs, What You Get
On the floor, you need energy that’s intense enough to crosslink the coating—without scorching the piece. So we match the lamp’s voltage and wattage to the arc length, so the irradiance hits exactly what your finish needs. High-voltage operation means the lamp ignites cleanly and holds a stable arc the whole length of the tube. That keeps output steady, even when your line speed changes. And the length? It’s chosen to fit your curing zone like a glove, so the entire coated surface gets covered—no hot spots, no cold edges.
The Build: Quartz, Reflective Coating, and the R7s Base
We use quartz for the tube because it can handle wild temperature swings and still keep that UV transmission strong. Then we add a reflective coating that pushes the energy forward. Less wasted radiation. More power landing where it matters—on the coating. The R7s connector is the unsung workhorse. Quick to wire. Mechanically solid. Rated for the current that high-wattage operation demands. Put it together and you get a lamp that takes the heat, cycle after cycle, with a lifespan you can plan around.
Why It Matters on a Furniture Line
In furniture coating, cure time is usually the bottleneck. Our lamp setup cures fast, so you can run thicker films and push higher throughput—without the surface quality suffering. And because it’s built on an R7s base, swapping it in is straightforward. Minimal changeover downtime. But here’s the part to keep an eye on: that high heat density needs proper cooling and the right reflector geometry. If your cooling is too small, the ambient heat climbs and output starts to drift. So match the lamp power to your thermal setup.
